How's This For a First High-End Build?

I am planning to build my first high-end system after having built my first ever PC a few years ago. I wanted to build a system on the small side but one that would still allow me to expand and improve as time goes on. At first I thought of building an ITX system but the expandability wasn't really there. I decided to go with mATX as it was sort of the sweet spot in between both ATX and ITX. I also don't plan on investing in the either of the 2080s. Let me know what you guys think, I'm pretty much open to any suggestions you guys might have. Thanks!

I would swap out he dominator platinum with some trident Z kits. This is just my opinion but I would much rather spend $215 not on fans and on a better PC. Or atleast some really nice Noctua/be quiet fans

Judging by reviews and youtube videos they seem to look quite nice and I think they'll look nice in this build, im open to alternative suggestions, though!

Instead of going with fixed color LED lighting, I'd suggest picking iCUE RGB parts. white is an RGB color, so the black & white color scheme can be maintained. But should one ever tire of that, other colors can always be introduced.

 

An i7-9700K is about CA$16 more than an i7-8700K. Worth the premium I think. Especially since Z390 motherboards are in the same price range as Z370.

 

The OP ssd is inadequate. Too small and too slow.

 

There is little point in getting the H400i, I'd save the CA$20.

 

A 650W psu is more than enough to power the system.

 

There is little need for five fans. The aio will provide two. So 3 more will fill the remaining mounts.
