Can you run 240Hz display on Thunderbolt 3 port?

Hello,
I have a laptop ASUS Zephyrus M GM501GS which does not have Displayport, only Thunderbolt 3 USB C port.
I want to buy this monitor which supports 240Hz and GSync

Can i run 1080p 240Hz over Thunderbolt 3 ?
If so, which Thunderbolt 3 to Display port adapter would you suggest?

I guess as it is the same as 4k 60fps. Not sure about G-sync though.
