Posted November 4, 2018 Hi there, I found a guy selling his i7-4790k for €240. Question is: should I buy? It seems a bit excessive, but since I do have a Z-97 platform and an i5, and not expecing to upgrade for at least 2 years, I'm thinking about this. What would you guys and girls do? Thanks! Also prices for new stuff are 21% higher due to VAT in my location. 24 minutes ago, fasauceome said: Is it a gold sample? Do you love overclocking like crazy? Will you delid/is it delidded? Not that I'm aware of - not really, but my cooler could handle some - no/not that I know of Thanks! 20 minutes ago, jj9987 said: A little on the higher side. Could attempt to haggle down a bit. Sounds about out of reach for me, even if I wanted to upgrade my whole platform, which I would prefer not to for at least another year.
