MSI gtx 1070ti gaming 8gb vs ASUS ROG strix 1070ti 8gb

I'm planning to upgrade from gtx 1060 6gb to gtx 1070ti instead of rtx 2070 next month, for training model with the dataset of 300000 images . However, when i check the webpages, i see that the MSI gaming model require 1 8 pin connector and an addition 6 pin connector while the ASUS strix model only require 1 8 pin connector.

https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-GTX1070TI-A8G-GAMING/specifications/

https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/GeForce-GTX-1070-Ti-GAMING-8G/Specification

Does that mean the MSI gaming model can be overclocked more than the ASUS ?

p/s:The gtx 1080 cost me 150$ more to get , so i choose gtx 1070ti instead
