Whats up with my 1600

Go to solution Solved by airdeano,

go to power options in the control panel and verify that 'balanced' is selected.

check your ryzen master to verify defaults.

Hi all,

my Ryzen 1600 just wont enter C-state anymore, its pegged at 3.4GHZ on STOCK(optimized BIOS settings), i was doing some Overclocking for the past 2 days which caused many freezes and restarts/resets. After one particular reset, it just pegged itself and will not enter C-state, and voltages on stock settings read up to 1.38v on HWinfo. I have flashed to older BIOS, re-flashed to the latest BIOS and it didn't help.

is this some kind of bug?

Funny thing about this chip, maximum stable frequency i can hit is 3.8GHZ on STOCK settings.

Specs:

Ryzen 1600

Asus ROG STRIX B350-F(BIOS v4024)

16b 2666 kingston hyper furyX

Nope, all adjustments through BIOS. I deleted that software after it kept messing with my fan settings.

Still pegged... its pretty weird, it did this initially when i first built this PC but after BIOS updates it always reverted to C-state even when under OC, I am going to try flash to 3803 and see if it works.
