RDR2 2080ti maxed out

saif96

so i just completed RDR2 on my ps4 pro and the game is amazing! but it was so disappointing that i was forced to game on it on my console instead of my PC, the game just looked blurry even in 4K, and the HDR of this game just looks broken. looking worst then SDR.

i know as of now nobody knows how the game will handle in the pc ports but im asking what do you think? how would the RTX 2080ti handle the game on 4K, max graphics, AA off, ray-tracing, HDR? do you think a GPU like that could possibility handle the game in 60fps?

No. 2080Ti struggles to hit 60fps at 1080p max settings with ray tracing on

but that was just a demo, maybe when it comes out its different, maybe DLSS can save it boosting around 20fps i heard?

Well, we would have to see when game developers add RTX to their games. I doubt that optimization can bring a card from 60fps @1080p to 60fps @4K.

Not a demo. Shadow of the Tomb Raider supports RTX and the results are -very- mediocre.

The developers are working on it I think, they're trying to push as much fps out of it

no body even knows if there's even gonna be a pc port... and you expect someone to be able to tell you how good the graphics will look and what fps at what resolution?  you want some stock tips and winning lottery numbers with that?

Ray Tracing will be a failed feature for 2-4 years. Hardware just cannot run it properly, it will take YEARS to be implemented in a way thats not a HARD Fps drop, and its not worth it. The added eye candy just is not worth the MASSIVE performance hit, Just like Hairworks was a worthless piece of shit, and how every other "Game changing" Feature tends to be hot garbage because it kills performance so heavily

the next gen cards will be out before RDR2 on pc, the 2080 ti has some room above 60fps at 4k, by then we'll be talking about 120hz

Wait, what? I have SOTTR and I don't recall it having Ray Tracing.....yet. Recent patch was for gaming improvement and AI, but nothing about ray tracing for RTX cards....

So that mean to play RTX at 4K you need 4080ti or a 5080ti lol?
