Hey!

 

So I ve recently decided to go for a portable ultrabook thats up to 1000$.

 

What do you think about this HP laptop?

 

Are there any better options you could reccomend?

I can't help but say...no HP.

I also would look hard at reviews, and see how the Ryzen chip does with battery life. AMD processors of old have fallen very, very short when it comes to battery life.

in short, it's pretty good - it doesn't perform as well as other laptops but it's a lot cheaper than many intel quad core ultrabooks.

 

A really good machine you can consider is the asus ux331.

Nope. It's the problem with idle power consumption and fan control in Ryzen laptops. Quite a few KBL-R laptops can do ~7hrs even with 42Wh battery
