Over clocking a monitor

I saw a video of Linus who said that u can overclock a monitor he used a software to do it can any one tell me how to do it

NVIDIA control panel. Set a custom resolution and just up the refresh rate until it fails.

then @Cereal5 is right. you can set cutom resolutions in the nvidia controll panel. the screen will let  you know when you went too far. as long as it doesn't get too hot, it's fine
