EVGA RTX 2070 Black or MSI RTX 2070 Armor?

Letme

This is first time in my life buying a gaming GPU. I was only playing on consoles so it is Hard for me to deiced to go with any of these:

EVGA RTX 2070 Black

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487413&cm_re=rtx_2070-_-14-487-413-_-Product

MSI RTX 2070 Armor

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137366&cm_re=rtx_2070-_-14-137-366-_-Product

Both are not OC if needed i will OC the card later when if needed. the only differences i noticed is MSI card has small RGB and Back-plate, other things should be the same.

Thanks,

Never go with the armor interpretation of MSI. Not so good cooling.

Watch from 1:57. He's saying 2070 black is better than other low end 2070-models, for example Gigabyte.

Main:  1650 v2   @ 4,6GHz   -   X79 Deluxe                -   GTX 1080 @ 2000MHz   -   24GB DDR3 @ 2400MHz / CL10

Side:   i7-4790K @ 4,5GHz   -   Maximus 7 Hero        -   GTX 1070 @ 2114MHz    -  16GB DDR3 @ 2666MHz / CL12

The armor series has been upgraded this gen though. 20-series armor is cooling way better than Pascal armor.

I think they are neck and neck tbh. Go with the one that you think looks best.

MSI cards have always seemed meh to me. Like they just kind of put some fans on a card and call it "gaming" or some fancy word. I guess you can say that about any manufacturer, but I've had multiple MSI cards and they've all been solidly... normal I guess.

My Build, v2.1 --- CPU: i7-8700K @ 5.2GHz/1.288v || MoBo: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E Gaming || RAM: 4x4GB G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 2666 14-14-14-33 || Cooler: Custom Loop || GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC Black, on water || PSU: EVGA G2 850W || Case: Corsair 450D || SSD: 850 Evo 250GB, Intel 660p 2TB || Storage: WD Blue 2TB || G502 & Glorious PCGR Fully Custom 80% Keyboard || MX34VQ, PG278Q, PB278Q

Audio --- Headphones: Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX || Amp: Schiit Audio Magni 3 || DAC: Schiit Audio Modi 3 || Mic: Blue Yeti

[Under Construction]

My Truck --- 2002 F-350 7.3 Powerstroke || 6-speed

My Car --- 2006 Mustang GT || 5-speed || BBK LTs, O/R X, MBRP Cat-back || BBK Lowering Springs, LCAs || 2007 GT500 wheels w/ 245s/285s

The Experiment --- CPU: i5-3570K @ 4.0 GHz || MoBo: Asus P8Z77-V LK || RAM: 16GB Corsair 1600 4x4 || Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo || GPUs: Asus GTX 750 Ti, || PSU: Corsair TX750M Gold || Case: Thermaltake Core G21 TG || SSD: 840 Pro 128GB || HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB

R.I.P. Asus X99-A motherboard, April 2016 - October 2018, may you rest in peace. 5820K, if I ever buy you a new board, it'll be a good one.

OC is not on the table right now because my PSU is only 500w. But yeah that would be even better if the Warranty includes also OC. But does their warranty covered International?

New design for MSI or not. I still don't 100% trust the budget MSI coolers. EVGA has never dissapointed me though.

Neither the 2070 you want is the evga 2070xc ultra

But I'd hold off for now due to the drivers problems.

Best Value Build List

Budget 1080p System (RGB) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7v2Lmq - (this build comes with two free games with the RX 570)

our market is really really really bad, you can find something like 1070ti in price of new 1080. or new 1070 for 590 USD. buying from ebay is a bad idea as well because of shipping charges.

i.e. New:

https://www.blink.com.kw/Gigabyte-GeForce-GTX-1060-WINDFORCE-OC-6G

1060 the same cost as 1080 new.

i.e. of used:

https://olx.com.kw/ad/geforce-evga-gtx-1070sc-8gb-ID6NIiQ.html

so it cheaper for me to buy it from amazon.
