I'm building a pc and I need help

Daddy Dave

You'll be wasting your money on that $750 and $1000, and not getting too much out of from it, compared to your current $500 build. Instead of doing a complete build, just upgrade what you currently have. Some of the parts you may want to upgrade are

  • Add a SSD to your build, at least 240GB
  • Change your CPU to a Ryzen 5 2600 or better. Update to the latest bios before changing your CPU
  • Upgrade your ram to 16GB, if you see the need for it
  • Upgrade your video card, starting with a GTX1070 or higher.

Intel Xeon E5 1650 v3 @ 3.5GHz 6C:12T / CM212 Evo / Asus X99 Deluxe / 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 3000 Trident-Z / Samsung 850 Pro 256GB / Intel 335 240GB / WD Red 2 & 3TB / Antec 850w / RTX 2070 / Win10 Pro x64

HP Envy X360 15: Intel Core i5 8250U @ 1.6GHz 4C:8T / 8GB DDR4 / Intel UHD620 + Nvidia GeForce MX150 4GB / Intel 120GB SSD / Win10 Pro x64

HP Envy x360 BP series Intel 8th gen

AMD ThreadRipper 2!

5820K & 6800K 3-way SLI mobo support list

@Daddy Dave

1002$ build

2600 with OC should be good with 1070 ti, nice case with tempered glass, 2 good pwm140mm fans for intake,

amazing PSU, usually 75$, but free 20$ gift card with purchase and 20$ mail in rebate

you already have 8gb ram so i put another 8gb,

512gb NVMe ssd to go along with your current 1tb hdd

mobo should be good for OC 2600 to 4.2ghz,

cpu cooler is good, check @seoz's review of it

2600 + 1070 ti will run circles around 8600k 5ghz + fast ram +1060

I would but I equal noob so I need a guide

Installing certain parts are not much different accross different brands and models of the part(like CPU, GPU etc) you can try to follow a build guide and use different parts. you just have to research a little

You are actually right. But i need to know about drivers and stuff like that and without a guide I would have built a pc but then not know what else to do

Yes, significantly better. the build guide you watched was based off of old prices, graphics card prices have gone down a lot.

But there is no guide on it tho

So my 500 dollar build is good?

This should be good. Pertend the r7 1700 is a r5 2600 (the look and assemble the same)

and the gpu being a 1070 ti.

Do you have any friends you know who can help?
