Macbook Pro (R) 2015 No Display

DocDave

Hey guys.

So I have just repaired my MacBook Pro by replacing the logic board, the Magsafe dock, and the screen, I have put the laptop back together, power on the laptop, and well Nothing

I get the start on chime, followed by nothing at all.

The fans are spinning and the CPU/GPU are warming nicely so I am at a loss at what to do.

With the screen, I replaced the glass panels, however, the LED layer is the same as before, and just like before is does not power on.

Any help would be greatly received

If the LED layer didn't power on before, then I'm pretty sure it might be your LED layer.

It could be pretty much anything considering you basically rebuilt the entire machine... are you sure your parts are not doa?

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Would the LED not powering on do anything other than not light up the Apple logo???

Im not 100% on that, I have got them from shops that I trust and have never had any issue, with. Any tips on how I would go about testing the items????????

It's pretty easy to test the screen, just connect the laptop to an external display and see if it shows anything. If it does, it's a bad display. If it doesn't, there's probably an issue with the logic board.

He started out like that actually. Fixing things for himself. He grew from there. I think it's all just about how much you're willing to get into it. If a college drop out can fix Apple products, you can too. Although, you might wanna calculate down how much even the cheap equipment would come you. Having someone fixing it might still be cheaper. :D
