Dilemma with upgrading my system.

So I'm in a bit of a pickle. Lately, I've been looking at upgrading my computer, but I cannot figure out what I should upgrade. Currently, I have been buying games for my Xbox One X mostly, since my PC seems to struggle with running games at decent settings/frame-rates. Now, I have two choices, either replace my center monitor in my triple monitor setup, with a G-Sync 1440p display. Or get a GPU upgrade. Or just wait and see what happens, hopefully AMD releases new cards to push nVidia's prices down lol.

Case: Fractal Define R6 USB-C Tempered Glass CPU: Ryzen 9 5950X @ 3.4GHz Motherboard: ASUS X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Hero RAM: 64GB DDR4 4000MHz G.Skill GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra PSU: Corsair HX1000i 80+ Platinum Drives: 500GB SSD (2x), 1TB SSD, 960GB SSD, 120GB SSD, 2TB (2x) HDD, 4TB HDD, & 500GB HDD Displays: Acer Predator 27" XB271HU 165Hz G-Sync (1440p) & 2x Dell P2715Q 27" (2160p)

that will sadly never happen, especially with the current market model.

i struggle to see how your setup isnt pushing a decent framerate.

disable SLI to see if that helps.

ill just be noting that the Xbox is running 30 hz on medium settings. your current setup is far more powerful to outpace that.

Playing games like RE 7 kicks my computers butt, same goes with other games like Doom (2016).

I mean, even then. Its better than 30hz console settings.

Also, he could run 2 of the displays on 1 GPU and the other two on another.

Just to give you guys some idea, I played CoD WWII mostly on my Xbox One X over my PC because of the HDR features on the console and smoother frame-rate. BO 4, playing it on my One X right now lol.

The console runs some games at 30fps cap, a lot of them at 60fps.

I'm just thinking it might be a decent idea to get a 1440p 144hz G-Sync display. Mostly to get higher FPS, and smoother gameplay.

60fps isnt 4K last time i checked. Thats 1080p.

Also console lowers setting quite a bit.

If you are having performance issues, lower the rez a bit. Something like 1800p simulates DLSS

I'm considering getting a RTX 2080 Ti as an upgrade at the moment, whenever they come back in stock...
