No output if monitor is in standby first.

Hi,

 

I have had an on-going with my GPU, Asus Strix 970, where if I turn the computer on whilst the monitor is in stand-by mode 9 times out of 10 I won't get an output and the monitor will say "No input detected". Below are the troubleshooting steps I have taken so far.

  • Swapping the DP cable
  • Using a HDMI cable
  • Using both of the DP ports on my monitor
  • Re-seating the GPU
  • Updated GPU drivers
  • Updated display drivers etc for monitor
  • Temporarily swapped the GPU (Gigabyte Windforce 970)

Using these steps I have narrowed it down to my GPU and the second one I had access to worked perfectly fine. I am now out of ideas as to where I should go with it now other than potentially getting a new GPU once I have the money. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
