might be from me turning down the brightness on everything with it I don't know but it usually lasts a little longer for me I might change browsing or other habits  im not noticing though never did a real test its just observation of my battery life.

That's most likely it. Backlights consume a buttload more energy than the panel itself.

 

But it doesn't hurt to turn them down anyway. None of my desktop monitors are anywhere near 100%.

I prefer dark theme generally, I don't actually use it on here, although give me a dark gray or dark blue dark theme and I'll snap it up.

Yes! I also use the Windows classic theme so I can get everything dark. Dark explorer, dark notepad, etc.

nah man my monitor reflects the room light and can't see anything if I use dark stuff

 

I literally have to game or watch videos with the light off otherwise can't see anything

I try to use dark themes at all times if possible. I'm in a dark room most of the time when I'm on my PC, so the dark themes really help curb eyestrain for me.

I use dark mode on basically everything that I can, mostly because I can barely read dark text on a light background, it all just blurs together, but also because it just look so much better
