Cheap PC? [theoretical, might help people who need one though]

IF, and some people are, I was shopping for an eBay PC, in the UK, what parts could be obtained for, say, under £250?

Requirements: At least Windows 7 required

At least 2-core CPU

Dedicated GPU preferred

4gb RAM

500gb SSD/HDD

Obviously a compatible motherboard

New hardware preferrential

Thanks, I think that doing this sort of thing is quite fun and helps if you need to buy a new or upgrade an existing PC.

Good luck hunting,

SV1

For the price range I think it is better to buy a prebuilt, however if you want to build one I would recommend looking at AMD APUs because their iGPUs are as good as what you could get at that price for a dGPU.

Fair point, I presume it would be an A4 or A6...

Can you provide a list of parts?

OK, are there links? Also, what Optiplex model would have the best Core 2 for the job?

Just saying, if you provide links, can they be UK? I'd rather see £ than $... However, if links are in another currency, please could you give an approximate sterling price?

PSU, other budget units can be sourced in dofferent countries like the bequiet pure power 10 400watt in the UK

RAM can be sourced locally for almost nothing.

Nice, an i5! Also, apparently, that 7850 is like an RX 550.

Thanks,

Or get everything new. Put everything on the Mobobox untill you decide to get a case

Keep in mind you will probably have to ditch the Dell case to make thing fit.

Edit: Btw, the PSU in that build is the one you want to source in the UK.

Thanks, as you know from the original post, this is purely a thought exercise, and seems a pretty good PC.
