Are there going to be any major amd upgrades like a 3rd gen or anything soon cuz im building this pc in december.

not really they will be releasing 7nm shortly so thats gpu base they might announce new cpus for 2020

its been put on hold since there is no immediate threat from intel.

2700x was held only till last month.
