EK Revo D5 enough for this loop?

 Share

Radiators are a 40mm EK PE 360, a 28mm EK SE slim 360, and a 28mm EK SE slim 280. The reason I'm doing 3 radiators for my build is because I'm a dumbass and ordered the wrong shit, & now I have too many radiators lol. Plus, I'd like to go SLI on RTX soon, and I'm on a i9 7940X so heat is an issue when overclocking. At least that's what I'm telling myself lol ?

I've heard how powerful the Revo D5 is, but I don't know enough about it to say yes or no. Total rad volume will be 1000mm, 96mm thickness total, & since some are slim I don't think it'll be an issue, but that's why I'm asking. Also, that should be more tham fine for i9 & 2080ti overclocking, right?

Thanks for any help and advice ?

so three water blocks, yes it is fine.

if you use the non-PWM vario you'll just fine.

A D5 is enough for pretty much any loop.

I was using an evo supremacy but moved to a x299 rampage vi extreme monoblock which says it has less resistance, so it needs more pressure I guess. I've heard it doesn't make much difference, but I don't know as much venturing out into these waters.

Thanks guys, sounds like it's no prob. Appreciate it

A single pump...any pump...at pretty much any speed beyond its lowest possible setting will be good enough.  Multi-cpu, 3+ rads, dual gpu I'd then say you probably only need about 3-4 on a D5 vario.

Workstation:  12900KF @ 5.2Ghz || MSI Pro-A Z690 DDR4|| EVGA FTW3 3090 1000W || G.Skill 3866 4x8GB || Corsair AX1500i || whole-house loop.

LANRig/GuestGamingBox: 9900nonK || Gigabyte Z390 Master || ASUS TUF 3090 650W shunt || Corsair SF600 || CPU+GPU watercooled 280 rad pull only || whole-house loop.

Server Router (Untangle): 8350K @ 4.7Ghz || ASRock Z370 ITX || 2x8GB 3200 || PicoPSU 250W, running on AX1200i || whole-house loop.

Server Compute/Storage: 10850K @ 5.1Ghz || Gigabyte Z490 Ultra || LSI 9280i-24 port || 4TB Samsung 860 Evo, 5x10TB Seagate Enterprise Raid 6, 4x8TB Seagate Archive Backup ||  whole-house loop.

Laptop: HP Elitebook 840 G8 (Intel 1185G7) + 3060 Thunderbolt Dock, Razer Blade Stealth 13" 2017 (Intel 8550U)
