haf xb evo lan box

kurzonmorris

i'm preparing my build list for black friday. i need a transportable case that idealy allows atx boards so i only found 2 that even remotely fits what i want and the HAF XB EVO seems the smallest and best. i also prefer desktop arrangements but not fussed but smaller case is better as it needs to be transportable.

anyway does anyone have any thoughts on this case or a better one? i havnt seen many complaints but if i'm gonna spend a lot of money i want to be sure. just wish linus and the gang would do a video on portable or lan cases.

(for those interested i want atx as i need at least one extra pcie slot for extra usb card and i like to always have one spare just incase so atx allows me to have the space for the two main cards and a backup slot.)

Most mATX boards have one 16x slot and 2 1x slots. Sometimes a 4x. Some even have two 16x and two 1x, so as long as you don’t have a triple slot card, you can fit a GPU, one one slot expansion card, and still have a full 16x slot open.

However if you want to stay ATX, the Corsair C70 is a good LAN box, it has sturdy handles. I believe the CM mastercase 5 has handles also

ha the cm master 5 when googled has linus on ncix as top youtube videos. i prefer the corsair as it looks robust but like the HAF's smaller size so it takes up less space in my car hehe
