Planning first build (hopefully for christmas)

So I decided to upgrade from my weak 2014 laptop to my first custom built pc. I will be doing moderate graphic design and 3d rendering, light gaming and schoolwork. I don't want to go over a budget of $1000 CAD. I have a build currently in progress, and would want your opinions and help. I hope to get this planned and ready to go by Christmas.

This part list looks really solid, you should be fine with it. If you wanted to overclock a bit more, I would recommend a good air cooler, but you don't really need it if you only want to do a little bit, or none at all. Maybe an 8GB RX 580 with the extra $50.
