Using the New Egg Canada listing with the 10% off eBay coupon code, I got the 1 TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD for $188 CAD, plus the taxes for my province. It cost me $213 CAD after taxes.

 

Oddly, when I typed the code PICKUPTEN manually and pasted it into the discount code box it didn't work for me, twice. But, then I copied and pasted it, and then it worked. I probably made a typo somewhere, but who knows.

 

 

I'm not sure if this is a great deal, but I did some price history checking on the Samsung 860 EVO and it looked to me like this is the lowest price it has been so far.

 

 

$188 CAD is about $143 USD.

Yes, $188 CAD is a great deal, I'd get it. And I normally don't recommend Samsung for their price premium. But they make high-quality SSD's and come with a great warranty.

Didn't know you could either   We're both just guessing, but since I freely admit to being old, and having gone thru quite a few Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Rainbow Brite Wednesdays, etc... I can't see it going from $162.99 today on Amazon to much under $143.00 , I would bet it hits $139.99 max low on BF.

 

It's speculation but from past experience it's usually the high end new stuff or older outdated stuff that gets deeper discounts.  I'll be watching, cuz I want another too.

That might not seem like a lot, but in Canada that's more like a $40 savings. Or almost another 25%.

jstudrawa is talking USD pricing. $139.99 USD instead of $143 USD ( which is what $188 CAD is equivalent to) would be $3.95 CAD in savings over the current price.

 

And, who knows, Black Friday sales might not even get as low as it is right now. Canadian BF sales are often not as big as US BF sales, too.

I think I've read the comment correctly. $162.99 USD is close to $219 CAD, which is the current sale price for the Samsung 860 EVO 1 TB SSD, before the Newegg Canada eBay listing and the eBay 10% discount are added, and also close to $208 CAD, which is the current Newegg eBay listing price. After the further discounts are added, it's currently costing $143 USD / $188 CAD.

 

I'm pretty sure the 860 EVO 1 TB hasn't been $162.99 CAD anywhere, yet.

 

$139.99 USD would be $183.60 at today's exchange rate.

 

Since the current sale price, which is the all-time Canadian low price, is basically $219, Black Friday would have to provide a further drop of more than $30 CAD than the current sale price to justify holding out. It's a bit of a gamble. But, we'll see how it plays out soon.
