Wifi card drivers NOT installing

Hi, I am building a pretty sweet desktop at the request of a friend. But, now, that I have booted into windows, I downloaded the latest drivers from Asus's website for the board's onboard wifi, as this is Asus x299-A Prime. But, the wifi drivers aren't installing. They say they are installed, I restart, they aren't. I have NEVER encountered something like this, and would very much appreciate help, ASAP please. He needs to deploy this on Saturday, today is Wednesday, though I have most of Thursday and Friday.

Thanks

NOTES: Motherboard is Asus x299-A Prime, CPU is i9 7920x, right now 16GB ram installed, though that's going up to 64, Corsair RM1000i,

P.S. Oddly enough, the Bluetooth drivers worked fine.

Did you clear the Cmos.

I will try that, though it's a brand new board.

I hope you find the problem. Last possibility is a defective MB

If you can not find a solution, try contacting support.

I just did a fast check in Asus web site for the MB , I do not see any mention of WIFI. It is possible you may not have it.

Look in owner guide for this option. Contact Asus support to confirm this.
