Setting permanently turbo speed

Hi folks

So my quesiton is; can I set my 3770S to run at it's boost clock speed all the time? It's now running at 3.5, the base is set to 3.1 and boost is 3.9. I would like it to run at 3.9 all the time.

Cooling is fine, sub 60C. Motherboard is a msi h67ma-e45 (b3).

Already did... that's sets the speed to 3.4....

thats single core turbo speed, you are either going to have do some some BCLK overclock or settle on 3.5ghz on all 4 cores.

yes, I read about BCLK, have never tried it though... Any info I should be aware of before doing it? It's just and old secondary computer, that I'm fooling around with, so I'm not super afraid of breaking stuff...

You can't because you'd have to pin down all cores boost to the 39 multiplier however locked CPUs don't allow you to touch the multiplier.

 

As stated 3.9ghz is the SINGLE core turbo boost so you'll never manage to force it to stay at it while using the processor fully, your only way to get more performance from the chip as is is messing with the BCLK but you gotta weight down the pros and cons.

 

You could probably raise the base clock a little like on 2mhz, 35 x 2mhz = 70mhz boost on your core clocks while keeping the system stable without having to touch your memory settings.

 

Further than that you'll have to handle memory.
