How to attach own fan to cryorig c7

So I bought a Cryorig C7, since its performance is slightly better then the Noctua L9i (due to the heatsink).

But reviews say the fan is not as good. 

So I wanted to attach my Noctua A9x14 fan to it, but I'm not willing to pay ~$14 for a 3D printed adaptor to attach my own 92mm Fan to the Cryorig C7 heatsink.

 

I was wondering if I could ghetto-mount my A9x14 by using paper clips as a fan clips? Or is there a better solution?

The fan is considered 'not good' because it's a slim low profile fan. But for an i5-6400 you won't see high temps anyways, the stock fan is more than good enough. I have the C7 on one of my systems as well, I used to keep an i5-7500 cool with it and never had any issues. You can still try and ghetto mount a Noctua fan if you'd like but it is not necessary.

Oh my bad.

This is for someone else's rig, he wanted a slim ITX cooler for an i5 8400 in a node 202 case, since the stock fan is too loud and hot for him.

What are his thermals though? I don't doubt the fan is spinning near max RPM to keep the CPU cool, but the node 202 is a pretty air restricting case. A fan swap will help.

He told me that it almost reaches 80 degrees Celsius when he streams Rainbow 6 Siege for a couple of hours, and that the fan is loud. I also noticed that the Intel stock cooler makes a ticking noise/machine gun noise when it spins at high RPM.

Then a fan swap should help, I'd suggest using zip ties though that would work best. 

 

Intel stock coolers are crap so I'm not surprised, the fan bearing is probably failing.

What's funny is that he built the system a week ago, and its already making a ticking noise
