Would it be possible to make a peripherals (keyboard or mice) work with software it wasn't intended to?

I was sitting here and I want to get a Razer mouse because I can use hyper shift and have secondary macros on the mouse but I want the corsair Scimitar because it simply feels better in my hand (my friend has one). So I was wondering if it would be possible to use the corsair mouse but somehow make it work with Razer synapse.
