Game freezes after I boot up PC

This happens every time I play a game right after I turn on my computer, the game will freeze and all I can hear is sound. So, I have to go into task manager and force close that game that froze then I have to re open the game to play it. After I do this, I can play the game all day without an issue. Then when I shut down the computer for the day then re boot it back up, I freeze when playing the game and I have to force close then everything is fine after. I don't believe this is a RAM issue because wouldn't RAM cause the entire computer to shut down not just have one game freeze? I would really like some input on this.
