Need opinion on build

Hey, and thanks for taking the time to read this,

I am soon building my first pc (around christmas), and would like an opinion of more experienced people on this build.

What I am (probably) getting: ( A red and Black build)

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600X

Mobo: MSI X470 Gaming Pro

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED Red 16 Gigabytes

GPU: MSI GTX 1070 Ti  Gaming 8G (Not because it has gaming in the name, just because its red and black, with a backplate)

Cooler: Cooler Master Masterliquid 240

SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB

HDD: Have one already, (Samsung 1.5TB HDD)

Case: Cooler Master Masterbox 5 Lite RGB

PSU :  Corsair CX550

Il be playing on a 1080p TV (Dont know exact inch diameter, i believe 52) because I can get it for free,

I am hoping to get a stable 60+ FPS on 1080p on high/max setting,

I will mostly play games like Guns of Icarus Online and Rust, with some indies.

My budget is about €1250 euro's

I hope you guys like the selection I made, and please, if there is anything bad, Please say it!

Have a nice day!

  • How much RAM are you getting? I'd try and aim for 16GB, and at a speed of 3000mhz or higher.
  • I'd get a better cooler. The Hyper 212 is old news.

See if you can build for Black Friday. You can likely save a ton of cash, and possibly even sneak in a 1TB MX500 or something.

Noctua U12, D14, D15 if you don't mind the color. The CryOrig R1 is pretty nice as well.

I have taken a look at my 'local' seller, andthey don't have any of those, but I have seen some other options,

1:  Cooler Master Masterliquid 120

2: Be quite! Dark Rock 3

I'd suggest at least 16GB of RAM or possibly 32GB (if you can squeeze it in there, just to be even safer for the future) and for this I'm sure there are more than enough people who will disagree, but unless you'll be getting an RTX2070 I wouldn't aim for Nvidia's previous generation simply due to their notoriety of "gimping" their previous generation once they release a new one. Another good choice (I'd personally do so) is to wait and see what AMD brings in the GPU market or if you don't want to wait the Vega 56 has become a great GPU and appears to be around 1070ti performance (and for a lower price?).

Overall it seems nice, but I can't not ask, why a 52 inch 1080p *TV*? If you don't have a monitor I'd highly suggest you get one by cutting corners on the PC (if your budget is strict) cause besides staring at a 52 inch 1080p TV is gonna rape your eyes, 1080p at 52 inches is too stretched, best would be a 24 inch 1080p monitor for the pixel density).

Dark Rock 3 has horrible mounting hardware, and I wouldn't get a 120mm AIO unless you're space restricted. They're not that good.

Would the 240 be more acceptable? It is only 10 euro's more expensive?

Yeah that'd be a lot better, but I'd check reviews first. Not all AIOs are great.

Get 16gb of 3200mhz RAM and enable XMP.

You can save some money by getting the non 'x' version of the CPU because it seems like you are going to overclock anyway. If you aren't going to overclock, still get the non 'x' version and pair it with an MSI B450 board to save some cash.

Get a TX550 for your PSU. CX is entry level, not the best quality.
