Safe Ace Players?

Are there any "safe" Ace players? I had Soda Player but I discovered some dodgy stuff about them and removed it properly. I've heard of Ace Player but I heard they were hacked once and another time there was a hidden virus although I don't think that was by the developers. If you don't know what I mean by Ace I am referring to a P2P stream system. I use it to watch live streams of events that I otherwise wouldn't be able too. Thank you in advance.
