I’ve done both. One is simpler and effective. One I love and has all of the benefits and more drawbacks. 

Main RIg Corsair Air 540, I7 8700k, ASUS ROG Strix Z370-H, G.Skill TridentZ 32GB, EVGA 1080TI SC Black, EVGA 850 GQ, Acer KG251Q 1920x1080@240hz 

 

Spare RIg Corsair Air 540, I7 4770K, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, G.Skill Ares 32Gb, EVGA 1080sc & 1060 SSC, Corsair CX850M, Acer GD235hz 1920x1080@120hz

honestly, a single hybrid 120 AIO is simple enough.

using a premade kit like the evga hybrid: 400-HY-5188-B1 or the nzxt g10 and corsair h55

spending $500+ for a custom loop with moderate to little improvement in performance results would be devastating.

If the Accelero fits, it does most of the same job for much less. A custom loop is usually only worth doing if you really enjoy doing it.
