Budget 1080p video editing laptop

I've been looking around for a 1080p capable video editing laptop which is moderately powerful and affordable. The new gen Acer E15 w/ the 4c/8t i5 and MX150 GPU seems attractive, I'm not editing with a crap ton of filters or stuff like that, just something which can smoothly playback 1080p video loaded off my camera. What do you guys have in mind?

Where are you from? Budget? Any preference on weight, display size and battery life? Do you need a good quality display?

I suppose my budget would be $600-800.

Can be weighty, I don't mind if it's slightly on the T H I C C side but it can't be Acer Predator-like.

Long battery life is nice, but not necessary.

IPS panel is preferred.

Note: I'm willing to buy a laptop a couple gens old to save $.
