5.1 using aux

Reece565

So, I bought a set of logitech z906

But I didn't realise that I couldn't use all 5 speakers and the sub through a aux on my phone to play spotify music, it only plays in 2.1

I want to have the music play on all 5 speakers and the sub, can I buy a amp that will do this, so just the 3.5 from the speakers to the amp and then a 3.5 from the amp to the phone, thanks

Use 3.5mm splitters so you can plug the phone into all 3 jacks instead of just the green one.

If you can hook a PC up that has the 6 I/o 3.5 on the mobo, then its going to make the channels separate.

I don't think splitting it out a phone is going to work because most (if not all) have L/R and mic, so still going to give the 2.1 instead of the desired 5.1

You could just put the rear satellites next to the front satellites and call it a day?

Spotify isn't going to output 5.1 regardless of what you do, a splitter will get the music to all the speakers.

Don't those speakers have the matrix mode button or whatever that already does that internally?
