Non Hypothetical Garage Sale GTX Buy

Steeezy

You happen to be at a local garage sale.  You notice a greenish wall in the back of the open garage.

It's a stack of NIB GTX 710, 730, 950s. PNY XLR8s

Never mind the truck they fell off...

What do you do?

710s and 730s 15 USD.

950s $30

I walked away with all of his 950s and had a 730 thrown in.  What would you do?

I'd check to see if they all work first.

I'd defo keep the 710/730s for use while troubleshooting or giving away to friends or family, gpus that don't need PCIE power are pretty useful.

I'll probably see if I can sell the 950s for a profit.

Assuming they work, I should be able to make profit on the 950s. I also have a buddy running a 950 so I'll throw him one and an SLI bridge to play with.

I hate to say the word, but they are useless at it right?

Useless? As in SLi being useless?

Oh I completely agree, SLi is a waste of electricity, silicon, and money

ohhhh, I'm no expert (I have no experience at all, for that matter) but I've heard it hasn't been profitable in a while.

eBay for sure, just make sure you don't create listings for GTX 730 or 710 cards.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

My bad, yes, GT 710, GT 730.

It actually looks like those are in higher demand on eBay, so maybe I'll go back and grab a few of those as well or see if he will take the 6 950s back for 18 of the GT 730s.  They were $10 each, now that I remember correctly.

Follow up.  Sold one on Ebay.  $71 w free shipping, so I can cover the card I'm going to kick to my buddy and sell the rest. The buyer has no history nor has paid, twas a  one day auction.

Anyways buy is bonified in a single use case...  I never made it back over there.. So no Pandoras Robot parts, but now I know where they are.
