So the RTX 2070 is now available in Japan... (Rant)

I’ve been itching for an upgrade to a new graphics card and very disappointed about the pricing here in Japan of the RTX 20 series cards.

Yea I know the pricing of the RTX 20 series is already disappointing but it’s a whole new level here in Japan.

Now I can get a new Zotac Amp 1080Ti for ¥86,200(about $766) while the cheapest 2070 is ¥97,000($862) and 2080 is ¥118,000($1,050).

I know price here in Japan is not the same in the US. Best case scenario is +$50 on MSRP worst is +$150 I’ll understand if they will sell the 2070 for ¥78,000($700)~¥84,000($750) range. but wtf? MSRP of FE 2070 is $600 and they sell it here for $862!?

Ouch. I was fortunate enough to find in UK that 2070 were comparable to 1080 non-Ti pricing. Doesn't make sense to buy if significantly elevated like that.

Wow, a GTX 1080 Ti going for less than an RTX 2070 (which cannot come close to the former in performance)? It's a no brainer when choosing between them.

Just get a 1080 if you don't want to vouch for the 2070 price. Performs about the same

As i've said. +$50 ⁓ +$150 on top of MSRP is the typical increase of price but +$262 on top of MSRP is just outrageous.
