Advice on NEW PHOTO-EDITING/Work Laptop needed?

LTT FORUM I NEED ADVICE!

I've been trying to figure out if I should buy the new razer blade 15 as my on the go editing and casual gaming rig. I have a custom built PC at home so the hardcore stuff I do on that and prefer it.

The current dilemma I wanted LTT's insight on was people's personal thoughts on the 1060 256gb RB15 @ 60hz for photo editing via lightroom and photoshop. I am a PC guy so MacBooks, though they are usually better for creative work, aren't really my cup of tea. Would fellow photographers/videographers recommend the RAZER BLADE or specifically the RB15 60hz 1060 version? Has it made a different for yall? Gaming isn't the biggest concern on my end but build quality and solid specs are.

I prefer not to get the 1070 cuz of the battery as well as heat issues. Don't really need that extra juice in a laptop. Also, I know Razer store is garbage for customer service from what I have read online, so I will be buying from the Microsoft Store and be getting their warranty.

IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER PHOTO EDITING RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LET ME KNOW. I want something thin, light but has the relative hardware to run Lightroom and Photoshop well. Gaming isn't a primary concern but for example, something like WoW or Fortnite under low-med settings would be awesome.

Yeah, that's what I've heard but idk anything that looks as sleek and clean as a blade.

looking at hopefully 6 to 8 hrs of battery life minimum. Weight would be anything from 4 to 6 lbs.

As long as its beefy enough to run Lightroom and Photoshop and will last me 3 to 4 years minimum, I'm pretty open but has to be sleek looking lol.

One thing would be cost, which hoping for under 2500 pre-tax.

Since your preferred max weight is 6 lbs, I would suggest models with better cooling as thin+light powerful laptops tend to suffer from OK/mediocre thermals.

Asus GL504GM

~6 hrs battery life

~2.5kg

Excellent 144Hz IPS

HP Omen 15 dc0030ca

~7 hrs battery life (70Wh battery, no GSync)

~2.5kg

Good 144Hz IPS

If gaming isn't a primary concern, you can consider lower end GPUs like 1050/1050TI. Or even MX150.

Lenovo Legion Y730 17

~6 hrs battery life

~2.8kg

Good 60Hz IPS

Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Extreme

Expect ~6 hrs battery life

~1.7kg

Good 60Hz IPS, optional UHD HDR panel

Does your workload benefit from Quadro GPU? Do you mind weaker (but still powerful enough) CPU?
