PSU - What tier is this?

Hi P
 Share

PSU: Nox Urano SX 500W

What tier would it be?

Is it reliable?

Someone bought it for a 1k build, so I was wondering if it's reliable or if I should warn the person.

Thank you

No idea.
Probably should stay away from it.

Why does it say Intel Haswell ready..

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

As far as I can find you really shouldn't use that psu. some people call it the type that burns your house down. He might want to look into a tier 3/2 psu from the tier list

That means it might work with a 5 year old CPU without immediately catching fire.

Tier 1,000,000,000,000 just like the ThermalFail TR2.

It doesn't even come with PCIe power cables, lmao.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X MSI B550M Mortar 16GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4-3600 @ CL15 - RX5700XT 660p 1TBGB & 256GB 600p Fractal Define Mini C CM V550 - Pop!_OS 20.04

Here is a better choice

An overpriced piece of crap that's branded EVGA instead of a piece of crap that's branded Nox. Yeah... No.

the Bottom -> Paperweight, must not be used in a working computer.

Nope, still shit, just a fancy label on it.

Wich is what they are living off...

But compared to the compatition, there is not one EVGA PSU that is really interesting or better than the competition...

I don't.

And no, not everything is better...

Get a good one, not some cheap shit.

...wich is bullshit because there is more than enough crap with 80plus Bronze certification on the market - group regulated stuff that goes out of spec with normal load, that doesn't even have Under Voltage Protection for +12V, no OCP on any minor rail and rather shitty UVP on those as well.

Naa, not something one would want...
