Best Video or photo editor

Timeflies

What do you think is the best photo or video editor with the most features. I Use Pics art. Don't go straight to Adobe.

I personally use Da Vinci Resolve for video editing and Gimp or Krita for photo editing (just depends on what I want to do).

They aren't the fully best.. But work for what I want to do and are free so there is very little investment into them.

I use Lightroom daily for photo and premiere pro for video. Both work well, but Lightroom is a bit slow for me.

with the new update, Hitfilm Express runs so much better than it used to. given that the software is free, you can purchase addons to suit your needs. it even offers 3d video compositing. I'm most definitely and amateur, but I made this in hitfilm

You want the best free options then right ? Because on the top you can't beat Photoshop, Illustrator and Corel at image editing.

You have this post which has all the free options for each categories
