What I hate about Chem is that there is no room for the human factor. Everyone suddenly turns off their brain and the professor takes off points because you didn't put your unit down in a step of the problem and the justification is: "idk what that means, 35 lightbulbs?! 35 oil tankers?! It's 16 apples of course. Why would you need units?

 

Your school would be an utter failure if you pass chem without knowing how to round to the correct sign figs in the correct units. Not an execuse to mess up.

I work in a restaurant, and I had my phone sitting on the microwave charging. Someone came to use the microwave and upon opening it, yanked my phone off flying onto the ground, and, naturally, the case broke. Thankfully no phone damage. But I just bought this case earlier this summer. So... $30 wasted. Joy

It is sceintific literacy my friend. Wait till you get to higher level courses where you have to convert milli to milli sqaure to milli cube and then to mega cube and then back to milli again. You will be hopelessly confuse if you can't grapse the mertic units and their associated scientific notations. If you do Astro physics, the orbital path can be in the giga meters and one -1 power can be a totally different orbit.
