Which is more useful? Molex to SATA poer or SATA extender?

I am looking for something cheap tech related things to fill my Amazon order to get free shipping. Right now in my case I have one Molex to Sata connector for a PCI-e USB 3.0 drive

 

I will need a Molex to hook up a fan controller (it needs +12V but does not have molex connecter so I will need to sacrifice one)

 

So which ones will me more useful in the future? More SATA to Molex connector or buy SATA extender? (I do have extra SATA power available but the cable just won't route to the PCI-e board and SATA drives at same time...)

They're useless if you don't need either. Just get a bag of chips or some other snack.
