so what do you think the series after 9th gen from intel is going to be called?

so with the launch of the 9900k it got me wondering, what will Intel name their 10th gen Core I consumer CPUs?(more like 3rd but whatever) is it going to be the 10000 series? the I7 10700k? xD what do you guys think?

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

im gonna guess they'll back to 1xx, 150k 170k, 190k etc, i also think it'll put current cpus in the dirt, hopefully we dont have to wait for ddr5 to come out and mature etc.

9000 - whatever % of market share Intel lose to AMD \ 14 (cause 14nm) = the answer.

But they don't have enough X in their names. Apple are 17 years ahead of them in that sense.

 

If they go hex, why not keep going? Use the whole alphabet, what is base 36 is called? There's a fair chance I wont see them reach the Z series due to old age.

I guess they'll just name it with some lame model name as Intel i7 Underperformer 1700/2700/3700/4700 etc.

The Intel Core I-bet-you-regret-buying-the-9900k-now-700k. It will be 16c/32t at 5GHz on 7nm and cost $499. /s

I have a feeling that they'll skip the 10 and go to 11000 series. i5 11600k,  i7 11700k  but then again i feel like the number seems too long so idk they'll start a completely new series like what Ryzen did.
