Hard drive grinding a little bit all the time...help!

i_build_nanosuits

Hey guys!

So for about 3 days now my secondary drive which is a hard drive i use to store my games and stuff has been constantly doing something...it's scratching a little bit and it annoys me because i have absolutely no idea what it's doing, what is causing this...i can say when i look in task manager it show the disk activity to be at 0% so i have no clue why this is happening.

If you've ever experienced this, or you can point me in the direction to how i can trouble shoot this cause right now i have no idea and it wasn't doing this before...

Thanks for any help on this :)

Unfortunately it appears the drive is failing on a major scale.  Hope that you have a current backup of the data and information on the drive.

Sounds like a good idea but I see that you are located in Canada.  Just be sure to keep in mind any problems that you may face shipping across the border.  Good Luck.
