Newegg Build Kits Are A Good Suggestion

Was wondering how come no body every recommended these to people looking for builds. I haven't checked much on the lower end builds, I just noticed that I spent a little more than I would have had I bought the highest build kit for AMD, for $2,100 you also get a $400 Newegg Gift Card. Just seems like a good deal when you get a high end PC+monitor for $2,100.

Probably the lack of flexibility. What if I have a SSD already? With the build kit, I am kind of forced to get a SSD I don't need. I also don't think I need 4TB of HDD, but that's the minimum.

as said here flexability is where you build it yourself for. you want to choose every single part carefully and choose exactly what you want. that's really hard with these kind of kits

It still depends on the exact parts they're using.

Sometimes it is the CPU that you want, but not the motherboard...or CPU + motherboard is good, but not the RAM, etc.

That was actually the thing. It had the best AMD CPU minus the Thread zipper line, the best motherboard, possible B-Die ram as it is Trident-Z 3200 CL16, 1070 T.I., Samsung M.2 SSD, Windows 10, Keyboard+Mouse, ectra for $2,100 with $400 back in Newegg credit.

 

Figured you could use the $400 for a ROG Swift.

3200 CL16 wont be B-die, more likely to be Hynix MFR or AFR. C14 will be b-die (the worst b-die, but b-die nonetheless).

That's what happens when I closely follow the PC parts used by the $2,146^.90 2700x build. Sure there's no OS or peripherals (I dont expect people buying a PC this expensive will use the Rosewill stuff either), but you've then got $400 you can only spend on Newegg. Very smart for them, not so smart for the buyers. Not to mention the build has plenty of stuff you could have changed to make the system faster without having $400 locked to Newegg.
