I'm upgrading from a 970 to a 1070, but the deal I found is for a card that came in an omen 880-149, is there any way that HP would have made the cards not work in any other system but theirs? Just wanna make sure before I buy.

HP doesn't make cards, they just install them into the slot, power them on and use them.

Whats the full name of the card...it should have a Manufacturers name followed by GTX 1070.

Unless it has a proprietary auxiliary power cable no. I would assume they use your standard pcie power cable.

Watching the video on https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05553403, it looks like they're pretty standard graphics cards so I'm sure it'll work.

Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen R7 3700X @4.4Ghz, GPU: Gigabyte RX 5700 XT, RAM: 32 GB (2x 8GB Trident Z Royal + 2x 8GB TForce Vulkan Z) @3000Mhz, Motherboard: ASRock B550m Steel Legend, Storage: 1x WD Black 1Tb NVMe (boot) + 1x Samsung 860 QVO 1Tb SSD (storage), Case: Thermaltake Core V21, Cooler: Noctua NH-D15

It should work just fine, I believe in the past i have seen that Omen systems use MSI blower style cooler cards with some different stickers and a green PCB.

Of course that is just one example, but that is just to give you an idea, they don't change the GPU's in the terms of connectors and such

Upon further inspection, I am very confused what that person is trying to sell me, that specific model of omen 880 does not have an installed gpu and the gpu has no clear label of what it is
