My first build, GPU Water Blocks

AL13N

I was looking for some advice on the GPU's and water blocks. I'm not really a techy  person so layman's terms would be more helpful.

I'm building an Aliens themed rig. It will have some 7" aliens, 1 15" alien and 2 eggs inside with a bust on top.

I just got the Thermaltake tower 900 and the Asus Prime X399-A Socket TR4 is on it's way from Newegg.

I'm looking at the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC Black Edition (x2) : https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487336

but I'm concerned about the water blocks. I'm looking at these:

And I'm wondering about the back plate. Is the stock EVGA BP going to work or do I need to order the 2 new ones?

Thx'

Dave

To be frank, if you're not particularly "techy" and this is your first build, doing some custom water cooling might be a horrific idea.

Thx for the responce.

What I meant was I see some posts that are full of lingo that I have no clue of what they are talking about. As far as the build goes, I've been putting things together all my life. It's the "what is going to work and what's not going to work" part that can get confusing. I was just about to hit the checkout button when you commented. For what I'm wanting I think this will work for the CPU:

No need to spend the extra $200 on the 2nd gen, that TR should work fine for what I'm wanting.

Games, Blender, ZBrush.

Hello, anyone there?

I'm still wondering if the water blocks are going to work for that card and will the stock BPs work or do I need to buy new ones?
