Ryzen Threadripper 1920X or Intel i7-8086K ?

Hello, I'm making a build and I can't really choose between a 1920X ryzen CPU or an Intel i7 8086K CPU. I live in East Europe and both cpu prices are around 500Eu. My intended use for this build is gaming.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

For gaming you get the i7, hands down. An 8700k would also be a recommended substitute to save some money if you like.

For gaming, the Core i7-8086K or an 8700K will be the better choice.

Those two CPUs have different use cases; One is made for gaming, one is made for HEDT workstation tasks.

 

Since you said you're going to be gaming, get the i7-8086K. Although, a normal i7-8700K will suffice too.

Depends really on the use case.

The threadripper has 2x more cores, so it beats intel with a big margin in workloads, but in gaming only, especially at 1080p intel gets about 10 more fps.

But if you plan on also streaming then the 1920x is a great choice.

If you want to get intel get the 8700k instead, it is the same chip, but cheaper.

Eur. But I'm probably going to get the 8086K because in the online shops offer a better price for it.

500€ for an i7-8700k or 8086k is way too overpriced. Consider getting the Ryzen 7 2700x.

Wow, that's a huge increase from what we have here.  Plus, the 8086 is cheaper than the 8700?  Then yes, get the 8086.

 

If money is an issue, get Ryzen non-TR.

 

But when the build is complete, what's your final budget?  The difference in price may not matter then really.
