PC turns on then shuts down immediately, but sometimes works

Priam017

I'm posting about a close friend's PC, he has a i7 7700, Gigabyte B250 D3h motherboard, Hyperx 8gb ddr4 RAM, Cooler Master 500W Power supply.

The PC shuts down within 1-2 seconds of power on. The CPU fan spins up but immediately loses power. However, sometimes the PC boots into bios and runs fine. I cant think of a fix to this. We tried with multiple power supplys (known to be working) but problem stays the same. This is really cutting his workflow into bits and we would appreciate any and all help. Thanks!!

Sounds like ram bro. Go into bios and fiddle with ram. I think its set too high. Disable xmp profile.
