Good CPU Pair with FX 5500

I have a PC with a Celeron 633MHz and I am getting a FX 5500 PCI to go along with it. I don't know what to upgrade to. Its a Coppermine only motherboard so it can't work with Tuatulin CPU's. I have a Pentium III at 1.00GHz and it doesn't work in it for some reason. The cpu is coppermine so it should work. I think it doesn't work because the power supply is a measly 120w. (My phone charger in my car outputs more than that!) Would that 1.00GHz CPU be a good pair with the FX 5500?

What's the use case?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

For one of those you probably would want something more in line with a 2-2.4GHz Northwood P4, though a 1GHz P3 would certainly be a step up from that Celeron.

If you are talking about what I am going to use it for, it is going to be for old PC games. I buy old systems and make them gaming capable and then I sell them. It makes very good profit for some odd reason.

I would recommend using the CPU that currently works to evaluate the relative performance, then if it's up to snuff you won't need an upgrade

What's the motherboard?  Don't these older stuff still use DIP switches to make a processor work on a motherboard?

CPU: Sempron 2500+ / P4 2.8E / P4 2.6C / A64 x2 4000+ / E6420 / E8500 / i5-3470 / i7-3770
