8700K for 9900K and ram question speed.

Is any sense to sell 8700K (MCE 4700mhz ) , 16GB DDR 4 GSKILL 3000MHZ ( XMP 3000mhz default 2166mhz ) ,ASUS Z370 PRO GAMING to buy 9900K and new good mobo but now 32GB RAM? Of course recommended speed for ram on 9900k is 2666mhz and up yes? the same like was on 8700K?

So ram must be with XMP profile again?

Yes i know its the same socket, even the same chipset which i can use 9900k on my actually pc, but i want to sell and just buy new parts on the same socket etc.

Dont ask why its my choice, maybe get problems on past.

Last question.

its a more threads,cores? and % speed.

Anyway when will be new cpu generate after 9900k? Half year, year?

Your Z370 motherboard will work fine with the 9900K (after a BIOS update) and the RAM will work fine as well. So you don't need to buy a new motherboard and/or RAM.

And what's your reason for upgrading from the 8700K to the 9900K (if you're just gaming then there's no point in upgrading)?

For gaming there's not going to be any real jump in performance when they're all at 5ghz, and the 8700K will actually have a little bit easier time hitting 5ghz assuming it's delidded. Because it has 2 less cores running

and for production X399 is where it's at for many cores. since the 1920X 12 core is on sale for $400 at times.

The 9900K is maybe 5% faster in gaming on average when all is overclocked and at parity.

Okay but even with bad cooling it's a complete waste of money to """upgrade""" to the 9900K from an 8700K...Just buy a better cooler for your 8700K?

i am waiting for my rtx 2080 ti with 8700k ok?

If you already have a 1080ti I would highly suggest waiting for generation 2 turning, as actual ray tracing games will be out and it's likely to be better at it than gen 1, the 20 series is a joke just as much as the 9900K is.

What monitor resolution/refresh rate?

If you have money to blow just buy a 2nd 1080ti? Can't believe I'm almost recommending SLI

Okay but like if you already have a 1080ti, the 2080ti is only like 25% better on average, which is certainly not worth the price right now...

i9-9900k and RTX 2080 Ti is absolute waste of money for no real performance gain.

For example i7-8700k/Ryzen 7 2700X + GTX 1080Ti is only 25% slower. But i9-9900k + RTX 2080Ti costs about 80% more.

It's not upgrade its straight downgrade in my opinion. (If you look at these crazy prices).

Don't be like a sheep do not buy that piece of shit.
