Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 4GB at 2666 or CRUCIAL BALLISTIX at 2400

Hi,

sorry to bother you with such a trivial question but i havn´t put together my own system for over 15 years now, need some guidance please!

Well the title says it all (mostly).

Both will be in a 2x4GB on a MSI B360 with an i5 8400.

I know clock freq. this close don´t matter at all, but rather CL timing. I believe both are at CL 15, but don´t take my word for it.

Price is the same, which should I choose?

Oh, and btw the gfx is a gtx 1060 6 gb strix oc if it has any importance.

Thx on forehand for taking your time.

For a system with that processor, you won't see a difference between those 2 DIMMS.  With that said, since the price is the same, get the faster ram.

Thx, will do, that would be the Hyper x 2666 mhz then?

Maybe will update to i7 or possible i9 somewhere in the distant future.

Looking again, it seems both links are the same product.  Either way, 2666 is fast enough for an 8400 and a 1060 for games.

You can probably save some cash by getting a r5 2600 and a B450 motherboard. (You will have to get 2 sticks of ddr4 3000/3200mhz, but thatbis usually not that more expencive)

Also check pricing on the rx 580 8GB. It is as fast as the 1060 6GB, but cheaper in many regions.

You sir were correct about the links, have been fixed now, thx!

Ok, seems I will wait for the 2600 the, feels a little bit more future prof aswell?

Have everything except the ram sticks already, so that is a no go, but thx anyway.

Here in Thailand the 3000 mhz sticks are almost dubble price of the 2666 mhz.
