I was wondering if it was possible to use my desktops currently installed games to speed up the downloads on my laptop. I mean as in use the all ready existing files of my steam, origin, and battle.net files to no have to use the internet to download the games and sorta just a copy and past thing to maybe speed things up. I was feeling like installing Windows 10 Freshly onto my Alienware and want a speedy download. Hopefully through an Ethernet cord...?

LTT had a video about setting up a caching server. Gives you the functionality you need.

But you could also just backup the games you want into an external drive from your pc and restore it in your laptop.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

yeah you can do that, I know it's relatively easy to do for Steam and uplay. It's been a while since I've done it. But I think for Steam it's just do the back up thing and then transfer over, the file loactions are consistent so very little problems. Just make sure to verify integrity. For Uplay I copy, initiated and then paused download and pasted.

Must have not seen that video. I'll give it a watch. Also no external drive for over 1TB of games...
