Help - SSD for external video recording (camera)

oporto92

Hi, just a quick question here. I'm getting the new Atomos Ninja V which is an external video recorder for cameras (over HDMI) and it records straight to a 2.5 SSD. Any SSD can be used but not all are guaranteed to work, there is a compatibility list (https://www.atomos.com/drives) but I cant find any useful information as to what would be the best option for reliability? I'm considering sandisk ultra 3D, samsung 860 evo or pro or their recommended Angilbird AtomX SSDmini  (https://www.atomos.com/angelbird)  all of which are compatible...  I would love to get the atomX but it costs twice as much as the Sandisk Ultra 3D for the same capacity or more than $AU 100 more than the Samsung 860 Pro (1TB versions)

Are there any significant technical differences worth considering between the AtomX and the other SSDs?

I have a GH5 and intend on recording at the highest quality.

Thanks a lot in advanced. If anyone has any questions about the recorder I'm happy to answer!

IMO only technical differences are size and logo printed on it. It's probably another marketing crap like "special ssd memory card for music" - sound is the same, but price is higher.
