Using VPN to bypass Spotify georestriction

food158

Spotify has songs that appear greyed out sometimes, and are usually found through playlists. When I looked this up, it means the song is unavailable in the country the user resides in.

So here's my question

If that song is available in, per say Germany, could I use a vpn(tunnelbear) to sign up for premium in Germany, download the songs with the offline feature, then turn off the vpn and listen to the songs I downloaded in the US.

Windscribe VPN free 10GB/month. You can buy a pro 3 years for $25 or 1 year $20 through Stacksocial here: https://stacksocial.com/sales/3-year-windscribe-vpn

Lifetime is also offer for $70, but I don't trust lifetime key though.

Windscribe free does not offer all the countries i need.

It is a free version, what do you expect?

Just get a 3 day free trial of NordVPN from here and check it for yourself. I'm recommending it, because the trial version doesn't have restrictions, unlike some other providers where you are limited to their selected servers. Tell us if it works, I'm interested too.

Theres a million free vpn's, why don't you try it

Those only mask IP, they don't usually have geolocation change as option.

Geolocation is mostly IP-based

75% of what I say is sarcastic

So is the rest probably

That masking your IP with a VPN will very much get around 99% of most georestrictions?

If they use my IP to locate me, but I mask my IP and now (at least to the external service i.e. Spotify) have a different one, they won't be able to figure out where me and my original IP originate from

My testing is from few years back, but then just IP masking didn't work for most of the services. There were few free services providing geolocation changing, but all of them were too slow for any streaming service.
